Generation Church is a small group of believers in Jesus. We meet together in a Gilbert home Saturday evenings (Gilbert is located in the east
valley just outside Phoenix). We don't ever want to pretend to be something we are not. We are just regular people who have discovered (much to our delight) that God loves us in spite of our
brokenness. With his help we are learning that faith in Jesus makes it possible for us
to experience true forgiveness, real peace with God, a new way of living, and amazingly, quite a lot of joy in spite of living in a tough world. When we meet together Saturday evenings, we ask God to give us an environment where we don't have to be afraid to be real people. Questions, observations and personal insights are welcome any time in our gatherings. One of the things we love to do most is study the Bible. We have found the Bible to be an incredibly powerful message from God--a message of truth and love and hope for all who call on him, and a message of sobering judgment for those who want nothing to do with him. We also pray a lot because we have discovered that God really does hear the heart cries of his people. Since God loves the whole world and wants as many people as possible to know him, we are learning (too slowly, perhaps) to be a bit bolder about sharing our faith with those who want to know more about Jesus. We also help out several organizations that do a really good job of reaching out to people who are struggling with addictions and other problems.
